It’s Biographile’s contest for St. Patrick:
Slave, Bishop, then Saint – quite the hat trick.
Now, tell us your story,
Win literary glory*,
And, oh, by the way, as a limerick.

*NOOK Simple Touch™ with GlowLight™ for the winner; *2013 Fodor's Ireland travel guide (for runner ups)

St. Patrick's Day is almost here, and to celebrate here at Biographile, we're getting inspired by all things Irish -- James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Guinness, corned beef and cabbage, and the art of the limerick. Although the origin of the limerick is still debated, we like to side with the historians who say it's part of the great many wonders that have come out of Ireland. So in honor of the holiday and of the Emerald Isle, Biographile is asking you, dear readers, to tell us your life story in limerick form. One five-line limerick is sufficient in the traditional AABBA format. Your limerick must be submitted via the form below no later than March 17, 2013, at 11:59 PM. The editors here at Biographile will choose three finalists from the entries and post them on March 20 on Biographile, at which time readers can vote on their favorite. The winner, determined by the largest number of votes as of March 27 at midnight, will win a NOOK Simple Touch™ with GlowLight™. The other two finalists will be treated to Fodor's 2013 Ireland travel guides. Erin go Bragh!
