Jon Voight to Replace Anthony Hopkins in Hemingway Biopic, and More

Foraging, New York City, and cocktails aren’t three concepts that come to come together under one book cover often. In Eating Wildly, Ava Chin explores the path of self-discovery while hot on the trails of edibles growing in the city’s patches of wilderness. And in the spirit of lauded foraging-based restaurant Noma, Chin’s autobiography also includes recipes based on the things she’s made, such as vodka with wild violet flowers and leaves gathered on her walks. Former boxing champion Vinny Pazienza, known more loudly as “"The Pazmanian Devil,” will be the subject of a new Martin Scorsese–helmed project. Scorsese is slated to executive-produce “Bleed for This,” the cinematic version of Pazienza’s life that will be penned and directed by Ben Younger -- and star Aaron Eckhart, plus Miles Teller playing the fighter’s trainer. Actor Jon Voight will take on the lead role in an upcoming Ernest Hemingway biopic -- to be directed by Andy Garcia, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Hemingway's niece Hilary. A key figure in the film will also be a replica of Hemingway’s beloved boat Pilar. "We've restored a 1930s wheeler boat. I also hired a boat builder, John Lubbehusen out of St. Augustine Boat Works, to build me a replica based on my research images of a Cuban fishing skiff from the 1940s and ’50s,” says Garcia.
